Excalibur is a castle fit for a king in the heart of the Strip. Enjoy updated rooms with city views at a location between New York-New York and the Egyptian Pyramid. A free monorail can take you to the Luxor or Mandalay Bay. Bring your family and experience the popular Tournament of Kings feast and show.

You will find much more than knights and armor at the Excalibur. The casino offers slots and table games beneath the medieval-themed stained glass. Take the escalators down to the dungeon level and there is an arcade for all ages, the Tournament of Kings show, and the 4D Experience.

Up the escalators, you will find restaurants like Dick’s Last Resort and The Camelot Steakhouse. The newly renovated Castle Walk food court is the largest food court in a hotel in Las Vegas. If you want to see knights without their armor, leave the kids at home and go see the Thunder From Down Under show. A shopping arcade also fills this level with an array of unique shops.

With four recently upgraded pools, the deck area is a fun place to spend the day. With food and drinks available at Drenched you don’t have to go far to rev up for the next evening. If you prefer, the spa and fitness center will give you royal pampering and even a tan if you want to spend the day inside!

Nighttime opens the Lounge and brings you screaming into the 21st century. No armor here, just the gleam of chrome and motorcycles as your adrenaline gets pumping with the hip nightlife.

Spa/Salon: Spa at Excalibur and Fitness Center will treat you like a king or queen for the day. Separate men’s and women’s facilities offer massage, wraps, facials, tanning beds, and fitness work-out areas. You can even use a tanning bed while watching TV! The fully-stocked dressing area provides anything you need to step back into the real world!

Pool: Enjoy the resort’s four heated pools and a large spa tub surrounded by sundecks with water slides and an impressive rock garden with waterfalls. One is an adult-only pool with private cabanas and a fire pit. Indulge in casual dining and cocktails at Drenched, centrally located to the pool.

Shopping: The themed Castle Walk has distinctive shops with the air of a medieval bazaar.

  1. nicely theamed
    - July 19, 2018

We stayed her in 2014. Room was nice. Quiet. Maid service was up to everything we asked for. The only problem was the “Time share people” constantly badgering us.

  2. great value
    - November 20, 2016

Stayed here between November 12-15. Rooms were cheap but very nice, clean and comfortable. The one big plus was the staff. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. The restaurants were good, Dick’s and Buca’s are very good. The buffet was average, we just went to the dinner. Stay away from the steakhouse, Luxor has a much better place. That was the only bad experience. A bit too many kids though. Overall we had a great time. It was an inexpensive Vegas trip and would stay there again. If your expecting the Bellagio stay away. If you just want to have fun, check out Excalibur.

  3. Nice Deal
    - October 1, 2015

Our stay here was decent. It was reasonably priced so that was a plus. The pool was very nice and fun for kids! Mine loved it. The housekeeping should have been a lot better. We were not thrilled with that. If you are looking for a cheaper stay, try this one. Don’t expect anything like a 5 Star hotel though.

  4. Great price
    - June 24, 2015

Check in was so fast when we arrived at the Excalibur, and when we entered our room I was surprised at how spacious and clean it was! You can honestly get lost in the hotel, but once we figured out the food court situation, we were set. Lots of great selections as we mapped out our plans to explore the strip. Amazing service too, I must say!

  5. Good for Price
    - May 18, 2014

If you are coming to Vegas, it’s a good place if you are tight on money. Hotel is very smoky and check in lines are long.

  6. Decent
    - February 22, 2014

We went here as a family on March 2013. It was our first trip to Vegas and we were really excited. I guess our expectations weren’t that high so we thought this hotel was very nice considering it wasn’t that expensive. Got rooms in tower 2 which was perfect. The ambiance of the hotel was great, i feel i could walk around all day. Buffet was nice coz of the promo. Downside as usual is the location and timeshare properties. Still our first trip was very memorable. I had a great time.

  7. Great hotel for the price
    - September 21, 2013

Our room was clean, staff was helpful. We had a quiet area of hotel. Pool is great as well and good food options. You don’t spend much time in your room in Vegas but our room was clean.

  8. Castle Living
    - September 11, 2013

A very cool and different place to stay. The room is of course typical, a little bit on the outdated side but all in all, it was an experience. I liked the idea of a castle, but I was really hoping for more of a renaissance feel! The hotel could really go into a lot more depth on decorating to make you feel like you’re sleeping inside a real castle, instead of just walking into a building that JUST looks like a castle on the outside! Not exactly what I had hoped for!

  9. Not all that..
    - August 31, 2013

Cheap, now I see why. Rooms were not attractive, air conditioning sucked. Bathroom and beds were decent. My view was alright. Buffet was not worth it! Ate breakfast and it was not fresh. Annoying employees (who have bothered you already) still ask you to buy this and that. BUT if you are on a budget and want to enjoy what else Vegas has to offer then I recommend sucking it up and staying here lol.

  10. Nice for the price
    - July 12, 2013

I saw these reviews after getting a deal off a Vegas site. I liked that the room was cheap! 2 nights with tax and everything was $67. We got coupons we used at a few places and with $20 off food and beverage but that could only be used at select places which kind of sucked. I didn’t like that we could upgrade to all these different things: a view, bigger rooms, king size bed. We didn’t need to upgrade we were barely in the room. We Checked in early but instead of paying early check in we had them hold our bags while we checked out the strip. Didn’t like the $15 a night resort fee. It’s like it was an added steal your money. No wifi! They had timeshare people with a concierge sign so we thought they were truly being nice to us at first. The timeshare people really hound you here. We got to where we just looked at them like we didn’t speak English and sometimes they were rude. We would stay again bc the room was nice, bed so so comfy, close to strip, and cheap. Tournament of kings was good but the meal was awful!

  11. beware hidden fees
    - June 12, 2013

I booked the room with my “Mlife” card and got a great rate, i specifically requested a street view room and got it for only $40 a night. When I checked in however, I was told that a street view was $10 more, and I was okay with that. Then I got told that there was a mandatory $15 fee for phone, Internet and pool and spa use. I told them that I didn’t need that but they said I had to pay it regardless. So with tax and fees my $40 room was almost $80. The old bait and switch is alive and well at Excalibur.

  12. Great
    - June 10, 2013

Beds were very good which is a must with all the walking people were vary good rooms were vary clean great view from are view room will be back many more times.

  13. Don't be fooled, your only a number
    - June 7, 2013

I will never ever recommend this hotel. Staff are rude and no one knows what they are doing. I spent a lot of time waiting on lines to be referred to different lines at registration.there is no laundry service only dry cleaning at a rip off , no bar fridge in your room. The steak house food and service was shocking. Walking to your room off the lift took 15 minutes and the whole place just looks like a dingy dirty smelly old hotel.

  14. Terrible, treated like a number Aussies do not go here
    - May 30, 2013

Staff are not helpful or accommodating , we were treated like a number,no bar fridges in rooms at all. No laundry service only dry cleaning. Waited on reception que for ages several times then got sent to bell hop, ladies at bell hop not interested at all, so customer service zero. Steak house food was terrible undercooked and overall shocking and a rip off, waiter was really pushy. Air conditioner barely worked. Rooms are almost like walking a football field away from lifts. Seriously do not stay here we were really disappointed give it a big fat zero

  15. Nothing special
    - May 22, 2013

Nothing special about this hotel. Average, regular rooms. Good place to just crash for the night. You shouldn’t be spending that much time in your room, anyway. Perfect location to get a nights sleep and head out again. Don’t expect much. You get what you pay for. And it’s worth it.

  16. I wasn't wow'd but it was ok
    - March 8, 2013

This was my first time in Vegas and overall the stay was alright. The room was adequate for the little amount of time we spent in it. It was always cleaned everyday and the bed was comfy. My biggest complaint about the facility is that it is marketed as a resort but it doesn’t have wifi. The staff kindly pointed out that there are Internet connections in the rooms but that doesn’t help anyone who isn’t traveling with a laptop. I also found the casino to be very smokey. Otherwise it was fine if you’re looking to stay somewhere inexpensive. Next time out, though, I will likely stay elsewhere.

  17. What a dump
    - February 25, 2013

Yeah if you like to travel back in time to 1978, this is the place for you. Feel like I am in a Conan the barbarian movie. Now I now why it is so cheap to stay here. Place is a dump, smells and dirty

  18. Christmas trip
    - January 1, 2013

This was our 3rd time staying here! Love this place and the price. A tip for someone looking to go here. Get the newly updated rooms in tower 2 over looking the strip. Excellent location to the strip. Beds are comfortable and good selection on the tv. Also have new remodeled food court and are in process of making larger. I was pleased with the new selections at the food court.

  19. Comfortable and good value
    - December 13, 2012

Wow, I’m glad I didn’t see some of the other reviews first or I wouldn’t have booked this hotel! We found the room basic but fine. Room and bathroom were perfectly clean, bed really comfortable for weary travellers. No problems to report. We had breakfast one morning in the buffet which was tasty, fresh, had a great selection and set us up nicely for the day. Server was really friendly too. Otherwise we ate out but only because that’s what we like to do, some of the hotel restaurants looked worth checking out. Timeshare people are only mildly irritating, they are not obtrusive enough to distract you from having a good time. Tournament of kings was also good fun but a little empty as we were there during a quiet period. Would have no objection to staying here again. Enjoy Vegas!

  20. Not bad
    - November 7, 2012

The hotel room was like expected as it has been around for awhile now. We stayed in tower 2 on the 21 floor and had a great view of New York New York and the MGM. We found ourselves struggling to get back to the hotel as it is near the end of the strip. Some slight noise comes into the rooms from the noisy streets and roller coaster across the street. The bars and casino was like every other casino in the city. Only real bad complaint are the people trying to get you to buy stuff and sit to watch time share properties.

  21. Never again
    - October 26, 2012

We checked in and checked right back out! My room with a view was a construction site full of dirt! My no smoking room left me gasping for air from the stench of stale smoke in the room. No lock on the door, nothing but sheets on the bed. It’s a crappy fleabag hotel!

  22. Shitty.
    - October 9, 2012

Where can I begin… The registration line was extremely long, The restaurants advertised ( ABW and Lynyrd skinner BBQ) were closed down. The hotel smells horrible, my sisters linens were covers in seamen and pubic hair. The ironing board was stained and broken, mold in the shower and I was on hold for the front desk for 10 mins trying to fix these issues. The only good things were the pool, gym and spa… Other than that NEVER AGAIN!

  23. It's Alright..
    - October 4, 2012

So the first thing during my stay was there was no wifi! Being from Canada we don’t have data plans so wifi is a key for us to get around.. Or else it’s 5bucks per 1mb. Second was the hotels were veryyyy basic and old style.. It did the job but next time ill look at staying somewhere else.

  24. Never ever again!
    - October 2, 2012

We had to change rooms because one was too tiny and both of the rooms had filthy bed sheets! I had better luck by staying at travel lodge!

  25. Less than mediocre!
    - September 14, 2012

We went to Vegas on a budget. It was a place to sleep really. Sheets had holes, comforters were dirty, housekeeping brought dirty towels, buffet never changes and not that good, air conditioner died every day and had to call maintenance several times. Hotel is always smokey and the timeshare people bother you at every corner. And I found a bug on the floor toward the end of our week long stay, which I am quite sure was a small roach. It fit our budget but I’ll spend the extra money to stay somewhere else next time. I tend to be rather easy to please with hotels but the little bit of money you save to stay here, I’d head to NYNY.

  26. Not all that bad
    - July 16, 2012

I saw a lot of reviews that almost turned me away from here, but figured I would give it a try since the location was good and the prices were pretty decent. I found the staff to be average. They were friendly, if it was busy they were a little less engaged however. But the room was a nice size, and we planned on a lot of sight seeing, so we werent in the room for too much of the time we were there anyways. Certainly fine to crash in. If you dont want a walk and dont mind a little noise, get a room near the elevators. But if you would prefer the quiet then take that extra long walk and get a room down the hall. Be sure you check out the Widescreen room if you want an upgrade. :)

  27. Surprising impressed
    - October 3, 2011

We went to Vegas on a budget, and the Excalibur was perfect for us. The rooms were inexpensive. Yes it is not the fancy suites, but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I love the interior design! We didnt have to walk around forever to get to the casino or get food. The buffet was decent. The location is at the one end of the strip, but that was fine with us. The only part we didn’t like were the people selling timeshares. We were glad they would take no for an answer and not chase after you. The casino was smokey at times, but what casino isn’t it. We would stay there again.

  28. Great vacation
    - July 22, 2011

This hotel has been around for awhile, but it is still a good place to stay. It does not have the class as some of the hotels, but our room was clean and well taken care of. Our bed was comfortable. We were able to eat for a reasonable price. We loved the relaxation pool. Great adult only pool. Drenched was perfect for us to grab a bite to eat and adult beverage. We were glad to use the tram to Mandalay and Luxor.

  29. Mixed thoughts
    - May 28, 2011

We took the kids with us since my husband had a convention. The kids loved the Spongebob 4d movie. The pool was great with the water slide. Our room had a good view. The buffet was perfect for the kids. Our biggest complaint was the cigarette smoke. To get anywhere, you had to walk through the casino and the smoke just lingers. We also noticed a strong smoke smell in the hallways.
