You can officially book rooms at the newest hotel in Las Vegas, The Cromwell. The Cromwell was built on the bones where Barbary Coast and Bill’s Gambling Hall once stood. The boutique hotel opens for business on May 21. Last week we mentioned that the first pool party of the season at Drai’s Beach Club will be the following week. Initial prices are between $200 and $400.
If you’re a fan of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) you’ll be happy to know that Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) won’t be your only chance to dance all night in Las Vegas. EDC announced that they will be bringing two new parties to Las Vegas. Beyond and Nocturnal Wonderland will be coming to Las Vegas. No dates or venues have been announced so there is no ticket information. We’ll keep you posted. Las Vegas Weekly has more information.
Jubilee at Bally’s was the longest running show on the Vegas Strip before taking a break for some retooling early this year. Well, it’s time to get the show back on the road. Jubilee opens again on March 17. The show was updated under the direction of Frank Gatson Jr., who’s known for being the choreographer for Beyoncé Knowles.
A couple times a year Bellagio’s Gallery of Fine Art gets a new exhibit. A few weeks ago the Andy Warhol exhibit was replaced with Painting Women: Works from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The exhibition features a series of paintings portraying female artists as confident practitioners of their craft, as well as a survey of work by women artists including Mary Cassatt, Georgia O’Keeffe and Berthe Morisot. Earlier this week we touched on Phase 2 of The Linq opening this Friday. News for The Linq doesn’t stop there. In the past couple days it’s been announced that BLVD. Cocktail Company Piano Bar will be opening the first week of March while Sprinkles Cupcakes (mmmm) will open on March 21.
Binion’s one of the most famous casinos in Downtown Vegas just re-opened their remodeled cafe. Some say this cafe has the best burger in Las Vegas. Some say it’s a $5 burger and worth every dollar. Binion’s also started construction on a new bar called the Cowgirl Up Cantina. No specific date on when the new bar will open but since it’s open to Fremont Street look for it to be finished soon to take advantage of the spring weather.
The buffet at Bellagio is one of the best in Las Vegas and they’ve stepped up their game. You can now eat at a chef’s table at the buffet. The chef’s table allows you to experiment with different foods beyond what the normal customer does. You can find more information here.
