Saying how great Las Vegas is never gets old. Not only are there new hotels, restaurants and activities every week but it’s sunny 95% of the year. As always there is a lot of show and dining news but I’d like to start with an new activity at your disposal for your next visit to Las Vegas.
Enterprise Rental Cars just off the Strip on Flamingo just started renting motorcycles. These aren’t just motorcycles they’re Harley Davidson motorcycles. They cost anywhere from $120 to $160 a day which is about the same as you’d pay for an exotic car rental. Helmets are provided at no additional charge. If you happen to be visiting Las Vegas soon then you’ll be blessed with some beautiful weather when you take to the open roads. Vegas Inc. has more details if you like. If you need a leather jacket you can probably find one nearby at Town Square.
If you’re into country music and the country music lifestyle then you probably also know it’s slowly taking over entertainment in Las Vegas. USA Today has an easy to read rundown of the country life happenings in Las Vegas for the rest of the year beginning with the Professional Bull Riders next weekend. Actually, they’re missing the biggest item of all! The National Rodeo Finals will be in Las Vegas in December. Bring your own cowboy hat.
You may not realize how popular Shania Twain actually is. I didn’t. Shania’s remaining shows at Caesars Palace for the year are sold out. Have no fear, tickets for a few shows go on sale Friday at 10am. Head to the Pulse of Vegas blog for dates and info on how to get tickets.
Some shows in Las Vegas don’t die, they get made over. The most recent makeover on the Vegas Strip that you’ll see is Jubilee at Bally’s. If you’ve seen it before you should be in for a new experience next time you see it.
On the heels of Britney Spears announcing her full residency at Planet Hollywood and Bruno Mars announcing a mini-residency at Cosmopolitan we now have rumors that Adele is negotiating with Las Vegas casinos for a residency of her own. A website I’ve never heard of called Inquisitr has more info.
Las Vegas news is unlike any city in the world. Where else can the opening of a pizzeria make national news? Evidently Pizza Rock is “America’s best pizza”and it’s opening in Downtown Vegas this weekend. Forbes takes a break from writing about money to look at the newest pizza joint in Las Vegas.
There is so much good news and positive movement in Las Vegas that it’s sad to report that a nightclub at The Palazzo has closed. The Act has been fighting with The Palazzo for months and it finally closed. No word on what will be filling the space next but I’m sure we’ll hear something soon.
Back to positive news. According to MSNBC the best hotel restaurant in the world is in Las Vegas. In fact 2 of the top 3 are in Las Vegas and 3 of the top 10 hotel restaurants are in Las Vegas! Restaurants are at Cosmopolitan, Caesars Palace and MGM Grand. I could tell you which restaurants they are but you should click on the link and find out for yourself.
Lastly, the Life is Beautiful Festival takes place in Las Vegas next weekend. The long term forecast sounds as if the weather will be perfect to be outside watching bands and artists while eating food from some of the best chef’s in the world. Las Vegas Weekly has a map of the massive festival grounds and more information on the festival itself. Let’s hope this is the first of many beautiful music, food and entertainment festivals to take place in Las Vegas.
