It’s been a while since we looked in-depth at the development of Resorts World Las Vegas. Construction is continuing on the casino-resort being built across the street from Wynn Las Vegas. Resorts World Las Vegas still appears to be on target to open in the summer of 2021.
Last year Resorts World Las Vegas announced it was hooking up with Hilton for its two hotel towers. There will be three levels of hotel rooms at Resorts World Las Vegas. Most guests will stay in a Hilton room. High rollers will likely choose to stay in the Conrad hotel rooms. The highest of the high rollers will probably stay in the limited LXR brand of hotel rooms and suites.
Most recently, Resorts World Las Vegas introduced the largest of its entertainment venues. The Theater will seat up to 5,000 people for a show. It’s a strange time to introduce a large venue like this as most theaters are currently closed to help slow the spread of coronavirus. Having said that, this is a great time to see what the future could hold for Las Vegas.

The Theater at Resorts World Las Vegas

The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas will be able to host a variety of events. This venue has a capacity of 5,000 but can be configured for different affairs. The property is expecting to be home to everything from concerts to conventions and corporate events. The venue could also host sporting events.

The design approach for The Theater features innovative staging, the latest in technology and audio-visual capabilities, and top of the line guest and artist amenities. The scalable venue will introduce first-of-its-kind functionality to Las Vegas. Stage design and technical features include:

  • One of the largest and tallest stages on the Las Vegas Strip. The 64-foot deep by 196-foot wide stage is 13,550 square feet and features a height of 95-feet.
  • A state-of-the-art, fully immersive audio system comprised of 265 speakers, enabling a multi-dimensional surround sound experience.
  • Fully configurable LED screens totaling almost 5,000 square feet

The multi-level theatre offers versatile seating configurations. The 5,000 capacity venue will have seating distributed between the orchestra floor and two balcony levels. The latter will include dedicated VIP seating.
One of the highlights of The Theater is that the furthest seat is only 150 feet from the stage. The venue will offer an intimate and unique shared experience between the artist and the audience, with unparalleled comfort, unobstructed sightlines, and great room acoustics.

AEG Presents The Theater At Resorts World Las Vegas

The Theatre is a joint development between Resorts World Las Vegas and AEG Presents. Concerts West will exclusively program and operate The Theater. This company may not sound familiar but there’s a chance you’re familiar with their work. Concerts West is the promotor for Celine Dion.
You’re probably aware that Celine ended her long-term residency at Caesars Palace last year. Unconfirmed rumors are saying that she might return to Las Vegas at The Theater. We should hear if that’s true in the future. Concerts West also promotes The Rolling Stones, Katy Perry, Roger Waters, and Justin Bieber.
“AEG Presents and Concerts West are synonymous with global entertainment and we’re thrilled to bring their tremendous foresight of entertainment operations, and unmatched lineup of international talent, to Resorts World Las Vegas’s stage,” said Scott Sibella, President of Resorts World Las Vegas. “It’s critical that our partners share in our mission to redefine the hospitality experience and create defining moments for our guests. Over the past year, we have been working closely with AEG Presents and Concerts West to identify ways we can elevate programming and amplify the current concert and theater model here at The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas when we open next summer.”
“Resorts World Las Vegas shares our vision and passion of providing next-level entertainment and best-in-class venue experiences to sophisticated customers looking for something fresh and exciting,” said John Meglen, President and Co-CEO of Concerts West. “For over two decades, we’ve paved the way for the modern-day residency which has evolved into a proven model of success on the Las Vegas Strip. We look forward to introducing and sharing incredible programming in the near future and continue to pioneer the future of entertainment with our partners at Resorts World Las Vegas.”
