It’s been more than three years since Derek and Greg Stevens purchased the Las Vegas Club casino in downtown Las Vegas. In that time, the owners of The D and Golden Gate casino have made some more deals. They have taken their time to reveal plans for the new casino that will be built on the land once occupied by multiple casinos, a strip club and more.
Well, the time has come to reveal plans for the next casino to open in downtown Las Vegas. Derek and Greg Stevens have officially revealed plans for Circa Resort & Casino. The new property will be an integrated gaming resort. Circa should open in December 2020.
Circa Las Vegas
Similar to the Stevens brothers other casinos, Circa Las Vegas will deliver a new experience built on the original principles of old-school Vegas hospitality. The new casino will mix the glamour of vintage Vegas with modern luxuries and cutting-edge technology. Circa will honor the golden age of Las Vegas.
Circa will have a bold design, accented by a backlit roofline and an expansive multi-level pool amphitheater. Featuring several pools and a massive 125-foot screen with the latest high-resolution technology, the amphitheater will offer a unique watch-party atmosphere for sunseekers and sports fans. The venue will offer a food and beverage menu, private cabanas and music from DJs and special guests.
Designed for those seeking the ultimate Las Vegas vacation, Circa will boast 777 hotel rooms and suites. There will be a collection of thoughtful amenities throughout the property. Some features will include a range of eclectic restaurants, the longest outdoor bar on Fremont Street Experience, a rejuvenating spa and a two-level casino with state-of-the-art slot and table gaming options.
Circa will be home to a state-of-the-art parking structure specifically designed with ride-sharing in mind. Unlike most casinos, Circa will cater to the growing use of Uber and Lyft. The nine-story parking garage will have 1,201 parking spaces for guests driving to the casino. The garage will be across the street from the casino but will have easy access to the second floor of the casino.
Circa Las Vegas Casino
Speaking of the second floor at Circa…the casino will occupy two floors at the casino-resort. One of the signature elements at Circa will be a multi-level, stadium-style sportsbook. The main feature will be the biggest screen in sportsbook history.
Circa’s interior will welcome the return of a Las Vegas icon. Vegas Vickie, the kicking cowgirl who was once perched high above the Fremont Street Experience will be featured at Circa. She will be a key design feature and must-see photo opportunity within the hotel’s lobby.
A Few Words From The Boss
“There is a lot of unmet demand for fun in Las Vegas,” said Derek Stevens. “At Circa, our goal is to create a destination resort in a historic part of the city, while showing guests the time of their lives. We plan to double down on the world-class service Las Vegas has always been known for while bringing personalized experiences to a new level.”
