Today’s visitors to Las Vegas aren’t quite the same as people who visited 20 years ago. The days of 20-hour blackjack sessions aren’t as commonplace as they once were. While gambling is still a part of the entertainment in Las Vegas it’s the only source of fun. Variety is the spice of life and the market understands this. There are now plenty of activities to enjoy beyond just gambling in Las Vegas.
There has been an explosion in the non-gaming entertainment on the Vegas Strip in the past few years. Retail spaces are expanding and they bring a host of bars, restaurants and other places to spend money. One of the often overlooked retail outlets is the art galleries where you can browse and shop.
Believe it or not, art in Las Vegas is a growing part of the non-casino activities in Las Vegas. These aren’t just art museums, they’re art galleries. If you’re so inclined you can purchase art for your home from these galleries since they actually double as retail outlets for the artists.
There was a time where working on your tan at the pool was the only way to relax and get away from the action inside the casinos. Perusing art galleries is one of the new options to enjoy your down time in Las Vegas. It’s possibly a better option when the temperatures exceed the 110 range in the summer.
Here are some relaxing escapes into the world of art on the Vegas Strip. Many, but not all of these free art galleries, are located in the retail/mall sections of the respective casinos.
