Shows and entertainment are slowly returning to Las Vegas casinos. Recently three shows at Caesars Entertainment properties announced their return for late October. Absinthe will return to Caesars Palace on Oct. 28. Piff The Magic Dragon will hit the stage at Flamingo a night later on Oct. 29. A week earlier, on Oct. 22, X Country will once again perform at Harrah’s.

Expect to hear about even more small stage shows and lounge acts returning to the Vegas Strip soon. These venues are easier to set up for social distancing than larger theater shows.

Absinthe (Caesars Palace)

One of the best shows in Las Vegas, Absinthe, will return to the tent outside of Caesars Palace on Wednesday, Oct. 28. Performances will take place from Wednesday through Sunday at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The shows will remain similar but the seating will be limited for social distancing.

“Absinthe is uniquely positioned to allow us to present the same raunchy, hilarious show in a way that should give everybody involved complete confidence to laugh, cheer, and watch in wonder,” said Spiegelworld Impresario Extraordinaire Ross Mollison. “Although we’ve reduced the 660-capacity seating to just 153 seats at appropriately distanced cabaret tables, we are still able retain the mind-blowing atmosphere of the spiegeltent. As guests arrive for pre-show drinks, our outdoor Green Fairy Garden with its spectacular Absinthe Electric Oak™ will allow for more social distancing than likely any theater foyer in the world. We can’t wait to welcome audiences back for a much-needed shot of Absinthe.”

Piff The Magic Dragon (Flamingo)

The newest Piff The Magic Dragon show will take place at the Flamingo beginning Thursday, Oct. 29. This new show will move to the larger Flamingo Showroom now called the “Piff the Magic Dragon Theatre”. The socially distanced theater will have a capacity of 250 guests per show or less.

“This has been a tough time for all the great performers in Las Vegas,” says Piff, “Not to mention the audiences and the city itself. We’re going to follow applicable guidelines and take the recommended precautions, and if we can give people a good time and they leave a little bit happier than they arrived then I think it’ll be worth it. Also, the dog’s run up a huge gambling debt during lockdown so I have bills to pay.”

Piff, Mr. Piffles, and their Las Vegas Showgirl partner Jade Simone will perform Thursday through Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

X Country (Harrah’s)

X Country is resuming performances at Harrah’s Cabaret inside Harrah’s Las Vegas beginning Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020. This is kind of a big deal for the adult revue. X Country will be the first Caesars Entertainment show to reopen in Las Vegas. Shortly after the show resumes it will celebrate its fifth anniversary.

This is an adults-only show that features a combination of traditional and modern country music hits. The on-stage entertainment includes “stimulating performances from the X Country Girls, who leave nothing to the imagination. To be clear – there will be lots of skin and country music at X Country.

We’d share more information about the show but this is a family website. You can find more information on the show here.
