Monorail Las Vegas

Monorail – Las Vegas

As the easiest way to get around the Las Vegas strip the Monorail covers overs 3.9 miles. Getting from one end of the strip to the other can be done in roughly 15 minutes. That may have something to do with why over 50 million people have taken a ride since its opening on July 14th 2004.

    good but needs improvement

The monorail is quick but drops you off in the back of the casinos. If they would add more stops it would be worthwhile to hike to and from it. When it says its the “closest stop to…” the place could still be a mile away.

    better options

$5 is too much for a ride that takes you places that still require a long walk after you are dropped off. There is not a good view while riding. A bus ride is the same price and has more stops

It's better than walking in the heat!

It’s better than walking in the heat! The stations can be a bit of a challenge to find but I thought well worth the hike. $5 for one trip is a bit high but they also have day and three day tickets at reduced rates

Great way to get back to where you need!

I was in Vegas from sep 28 – Oct 1st and I use the monorail 3 times from MGM Grand to Las Vegas Convention Centre! There was so much traffic in the town that the monorail cut it by half! Great way to get around for sure! I was staying at the Excalibur Hotel so I had to walk a bit.. Honestly so what it’s Vegas your walking all over anyways!

    okay..

It takes you to the back side of all the hotels and you still had to walk a while. I recommend using the deuce bus instead.

Fast but out of the way

The ride skipped the many traffic lights on Las Vegas Blvd but we were dropped off in the middle of nowhere (closed Sahara) trying to get back to Circus Circus. The recording said it was the closest stop but was wrong. We should have got off at LVH. Still was quite a walk. Only use this monorail if it stops at your hotel, it is not very convenient. Use the Deuce!
