Absinthe the beverage is known as a highly intoxicating spirit, the same can be said of Absinthe the show. Quoted as being a mix between Cirque du Soleil and The Rocky Horror Picture show, Absinthe is a raucous acrobatic blend of humor, seduction, provocation and skill. There is not much refinement, just over-the-top daring performances that will have you both laughing and blushing.
Absinthe has its home in the large white tent outside Caesars Palace. Don’t let the virginal white exterior fool you, inside is a red hot harlot of a show which holds nothing back. Imagine an X-rated Cirque with lots of audience involvement and raunchy vaudeville all being performed just a few feet from you. Performed in the round, there is not a bad seat in the house; but beware those who sit in front are fair game for the host of the show to embarrass and abuse as the butt of his jokes. “If you can only see one show your entire life, make it Absinthe!” is the way the show is promoted. So get your tickets and prepare to be wowed by this zany one of a kind show!

Adults ONLY!!! Easily offended, stay away! It’s dirty, raunchy, and hilariously funny! Every part of the show is great… Comedy, Acrobatics, Musical, and a must watch. Beware front rows… You will become part of the show. Don’t get Mad!
As everyone mentioned, this is an adult show. The acts are great, the comedy was alright, but not the best I’ve heard. Not that I was offended or anything, it was felt very scripted. Of course 90% of shows are, but this had a feel like they were reading off a TelePrompTer at times. The biggest and best laughs came during the improv section where the Gazzilionare host uses people from the audience in his act.
Comedy mixed with various acrobatics. It was hilarious. We saw some cirque shows, but Absinthe was the highlight of our trip. R-rated language and topics, so not ideal for everyone.
Surprisingly fun in a an adult venue. No nudity and great acrobatic acts. Comedy is very adult. Loved the small venue.
This show was my first Vegas show and I have to say that I was completely satisfied! It had a little of everything, jokes were crude but absolutely halarious! The host had me in years I was laughing so hard. Definitely a must see if you like to laugh and you are not easily offended.
Looked at some other reviews , thought we would give it a go and it didn’t disappoint , plenty of lovely girls , slightly odd acts but that’s in a good way , the compere was great , if your black , gay , or oriental and don’t mind having being the brunt of jokes give it a try
My girlfriend and I went and saw this show because all of the cirque du soelil shows were sold out but I think this show is probably just as good and it is definitely funnier. In fact it was hilarious and had us both in tears from laughter. Also the acrobatic performances are absolutely awesome. You will be amazed. Overall I would recommend the show for any adults. The humor is very raunchy but it is funny if you can handle that. It is well worth the money. I give it 5 stars and I would give it more if i could.
Best show ever, f*ck*ng hilarious!!!
This show would best be compared to a Cirque show and Borat ( or any offensive comic) in one. The acrobats are just amazing. Then boom you are hit with offense jokes that are non stop funny. Seating is not assigned so go early and scout out comfortable chairs. At certain times the actors are close enough to touch. I am glad we did not pick the front row. The front row becomes part of the show.
I just returned from a short trip to Vegas. I checked out the “Absinthe” show at Caesar’s Palace. All I can say is, “WOW!!!!” I have seen 4 different Cirque du Soleil shows and enjoyed them all, but this show had personality, life, a sense of fun and humour, and at times, raunchy!
There was a very small circular stage and the audience all sat around it. You were close enough to touch the performers and audience participation was encouraged. The acts were fantastic!! I was even concerned for the safety of some of the performers because I was close enough to see how dangerous some of their stunts were to perform!
To quote the sales people who work at the half-price ticket outlets: It’s as if Cirque du Soleil were mashed up with Ricky Horror Picture Show.
This show is definitely worth seeing…as long as you don’t mind profanity, pasties, and an incredible show!
If vulgar language, sexual overtones, racial jokes, partial nudity offend you….don’t go. It is rauncry, racy, pure adult humor.
If if you sit in the front row, you will be called out . It is ooen seating, so the front row is up for grabs if you want.
Very talented acrobats and just funny funny people. It is a cross between a Cirque show and the best comedians in town.
I didnt know what to expect with this show. Absinthe is a circus with an adult twist. The humor is over the top funny, and the acrobats were crazy good too. I wouldnt want to bring grandma to this show!!
