This review is just about the casino. My friends and I wanted to experience old Vegas and the “honky tonk”. We found the El Cortez to be old school Vegas for sure. The first thing we heard were the bells and whistles from the slot machines and the sound of money truly dropping! Score one point! The drinks were so much cheaper than the big name hotels! score again! We played a table game for 25 cents.. another score! The black jack table was even low to play a hand or two. Definitely a different crowd, but it added the overall experience. We will go back!

This hotel is true Vegas. It is smoky, smells like beer and the casino has the cheapest roulette table in town and actual coin slot machines. The dealers are actually personable and talk with you while you gamble. The hotel room isn’t anything special either. We had fun in the casino and didn’t spend a ton of money to play for a few hours. Won’t stay here again, but will go back for the casino.
