Lil John at Tryst
Rapper, DJ, and Celebrity Apprentice favorite Lil John will headline the crunkest New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas at one of the Strip’s most popular nightclubs, Tryst. The upscale club features a centerpiece 90-foot waterfall, plus an open-air dance floor so you can dance under the stars as you welcome 2014. Gather your girlfriends: tickets are less than half as much for women. Spend the extra on bottle service or book a table for the night. more >
Bruno Mars at The Chelsea
The Cosmopolitan is debuting its new entertainment venue with not one, but eight shows by Grammy-winner Bruno Mars and his back-up band The Hooligans. (If you saw a previous show at the Chelsea Ballroom, you know that it was exactly that: a ballroom space. Wait until you see what they’ve done with it!) Bruno Mars plays his first set on the 29th, but it’s the New Year’s Eve show that will be the one to see. The Cosmopolitan is offering room packages that include tickets and other perks. more >
Miguel at Tao
You can often spot celebrities at the Venetian’s nightclub hotspot, but it will be hard to top the one who will be leading the midnight countdown. R&B legend Miguel has racked up nominations for just about every music award in the book, taking home a Grammy last year for Best Song. Don’t forget that Tao is a swanky restaurant as well as a nightclub, so packages often include dinner as well as bottle service. You don’t have to worry about anything except showing up. more >
Britney Spears at PH Live
Vegas clubs all vie to book the biggest name for New Year’s Eve, and it looks like Planet Hollywood won this year, securing pop icon Britney Spears to kick off the holiday season with what will be the beginning of a two-year residency. The recently-renovated venue (formerly Planet Hollywood Theater of the Performing Arts) will host the Britney Spears: Piece of Me show, said to feature 21 of her hit songs over a ninety-minute show. The size of the theater has been reduced to evoke a more intimate atmosphere. more >
New Year’s Eve with Diplo at Surrender
If your plans include a lot of dancing for New Year’s Eve, it would be hard to find a better spot than Surrender. The Wynn Hotel’s vibrant nightclub is known for hosting some of the best electronic music in the city. New Year’s Eve will be no exception, with a dance party hosted by DJ Diplo (otherwise known as Diplodicus), known for his inventive ’80s mashups and his work with M.I.A. Arrive early: Surrender will have an open bar from 9:00pm-11:00pm. more >
New Year’s Everything 2014 at the Stratosphere Tower
The Stratosphere always aims high, and we’re not just talking about the elevation at the observation deck. The hotel is hosting three parties for New Year’s Eve, each with its own vibe. The Tower VIP party takes place on three levels of the tower, with an unlimited open bar, live entertainment, and a sushi bar. The Tower Party on level 108 is a nightclub-style party with DJ MAC, while the level 107 Lounge Party aims for a lounge atmosphere. If that’s not enough, you can also begin the evening early with dinner at the Stratosphere’s Top of the World restaurant, where Chef Rick Giffen has designed a special five-course menu, complete with party favors. more >
Sebastian Ingrosso at The Light Vegas
If you haven’t been to The Light, you’re in for a one-of-a-kind club experience in both sound and vision. The concept was created by the folks behind Cirque du Soleil, so expect state-of-the-art production values, special effects, and some of the most innovative music and DJ acts in the country. Swedish DJ and producer Sebastian Ingrosso comes straight from a world tour to bring his unique sounds to Vegas for New Year’s Eve. Find out why he’s rated one of the top DJs in the world by DJ Mag. more >
Bottomless New Year’s Eve at Koi
While some Vegas party spots are offering open bars for New Year’s Eve, most have a time restriction–usually ending before midnight. Koi Ultra Lounge is keeping the party going well into 2014 with their Bottomless party, keeping the open bar going all night long, with unlimited VIP bottle service. The exclusive balcony area is also one of the best spots in town for watching the fireworks on the Strip, although with the floor-to-ceiling windows, the view is spectacular from almost everywhere at Koi.
