Casino owner and developer Derek Stevens will introduce Circa Sports in June. The new sportsbook venture will debut in downtown Las Vegas on June 1. The Nevada Gaming Commission recently approved Stevens’ Circa Sports license, which includes launching its first location – a sportsbook at Golden Gate Hotel & Casino on June 1.

The Golden Gate sportsbook should bring the same excitement from the main casino area into the sportsbook. The low ceilings and tight space create a frenzied feeling that makes this one of the most fun casinos to gamble.

Following the launch of the sportsbook at Golden Gate, Circa Sports will introduce a new sportsbook and bar at The D Las Vegas in late June 2019. The new space will include a re-imagined Vue Bar.

“It’s no secret that I’m an avid sports bettor – I’m taking everything I’ve learned and everything I love and bringing it all to Circa Sports to create the best possible experience for our guests,” said Stevens. “Circa Sports will take people back to old-school Las Vegas hospitality, where our guests and oddsmakers interact closely in a friendly and fun environment.”

Circa Sports will be led by Sportsbooks Director Matt Metcalf formerly of the Westgate (previously Hilton) SuperBook. Metcalf said, “There is truly no casino operator who understands sports betting quite like Derek Stevens. Together, we’re creating a one-of-a-kind fan experience that can be enjoyed by bettors of all types. We plan to make placing bets easier than ever for advanced bettors, while ushering in a new wave of novice players who are seeking the advice of experts to help guide the way.”

Circa Las Vegas Sportsbook

The new sportsbooks at the Golden Gate and The D will pave the way for the highly anticipated multi-level, stadium-style sportsbook that will debut at Circa Resort & Casino in December 2020. Circa Las Vegas sounds impressive and the sportsbook is one of the major highlights.

The sportsbook will occupy three floors of the casino. The first level will have more than 350 individual seats. The second level will include seating that will work nicely for groups. The third level will be sort of a “radio row” with broadcast studios for radio stations around the country being able to broadcast live from Las Vegas.

Stevens promises that the Cira Las Vegas sportsbook will have the world’s largest TV screen. The sportsbook itself might not as large as the Westgate SuperBook but it the screen will occupy more space.

The sportsbook will also feature another broadcast studio for the Vegas Stats and Information Network (VSIN). Derek Stevens owns part of the sports betting radio and TV channel and would like to see live broadcasts take place in the sportsbook once it opens in December 2020.

Circa Sports Ties Everything Together

By the end of 2020, Derek Stevens will have three casinos in downtown Las Vegas. Circa Sports will provide lines and odds for all three casinos. While he’s passionate about sports betting, Stevens is a casino operator and Circa Sports should bring a new kind of sports betting product for tourists.

Circa Sports plans to offer an extensive betting menu for traditional sports bettors. They specifically plan to focus on futures bets. Tourists love to bet on their favorite teams to win their respective championship when they visit Las Vegas. Circa Sports plans to offer new ways to do that.

Circa Sports will also be offering contests geared towards both sports fans and sports bettors. There will be a football contest this year that is similar to the popular Westgate SuperContest. They will also offer contests similar with similar prizes as the “Win Derek’s Car” contests we see at The D and Golden Gate.
