It’s taken a few years, but MGM Resorts concept for The Park is finally being realized. The Park opened in 2016 and is located in between New York-New York and Park MGM. T-Mobile Arena sits in Toshiba Plaza across the street from Park MGM and behind the main area of The Park and New York-New York.

Drinking and Dining At The Park

Thousands of visitors a day are going to The Park and surrounding casinos to eat, drink, gamble and be entertained. The Park Theater inside Park MGM has a number of popular residencies while T-Mobile Arena is home to the Vegas Golden Knights and UFC events in Las Vegas. Both venues are also home to national touring concerts.

Guests at The Park have the option to drink and dine inside or outside at one of the restaurants attached to New York-New York. Each of the bars and restaurants at The Park offers moderately priced dining options:

  • Beerhaus: Beer and snacks
  • Bruxie: Waffle sandwiches
  • California Pizza Kitchen: Pizza and more
  • Sake Rok: Sushi and Japanese cuisine
  • Shake Shack: Burgers and hot dogs

Entertainment at The Park

The dining options and ability to eat and drink outside were once the main draw to The Park. That’s no longer the case as locals visit T-Mobile Arena to cheer on the Vegas Golden Knights. As you’d imagine plenty of people plan a vacation to Las Vegas to cheer on their favorite hockey team. Depending on the Golden Knights opponent, the arena can see nearly 50 percent visiting fans.

The hockey experience is electric and totally Vegas. Sports fans often travel to see their favorite team in new environments. Music fans aren’t the same in most cities. However, Las Vegas is different. There are plenty of people visiting Las Vegas that use nationally touring artists as an excuse to plan a trip to Las Vegas.

There are even more visitors that are flocking to The Park area for the limited residency engagements taking place at the Park Theater inside Park MGM. It seems as though there’s a new residency announced every few weeks at the Park Theater.

More To Enjoy at The Park

The Park and surrounding casinos are one of the more fun places to visit for a little indoor/outdoor fun. Beerhaus has a great happy hour if you’re looking to drink and snack at discount prices.

The Park often has free entertainment if you’d like to enjoy your drinks in the beautiful Las Vegas weather.

This is also a fun place to work or socialize with business contacts and friends that aren’t in town. Hop onto the free wifi at The Park and check work email or Facetime with friends back home. I recommend hanging out near Bliss Dance if you want a dramatic backdrop.

The Park is one of the few areas you can relax outdoors in Las Vegas. Head towards T-Mobile Arena during weekdays to minimize the number of people venturing into the area. It’s a nice place to drink a cup of coffee and enjoy fresh air without being bothered.
