Fans of The Hunger Games books and movies will be able to dive into a new exhibition at MGM Grand. The Hunger Games: The Exhibition opens in The District at MGM Grand this May. The new exhibition has plenty of features from The Hunger Games:
- a fully-immersive archery training experience
- new interactive installations
- set decoration
This is the first time that The Hunger Games: The Exhibition will be in Las Vegas. Superfans of the series know that the exhibition has already been in New York, San Francisco, Louisville and Sydney, Australia.
What To Expect At The Hunger Games: The Exhibition
The Hunger Games: The Exhibition is a family-friendly attraction at MGM Grand. The exhibition celebrates the journey of Katniss Everdeen from her humble beginnings in District 12 to her rise as the Mockingjay.
The new experience features several inspirational galleries fans of The Hunger Games will expect. Highlights of the galleries include the Hall of Justice, President Snow’s Office, the Tribute Train, and District 13.
The archery training experience will be set within a 60-foot wide interactive digital training lab. This should be the highlight of the exhibition which is also the first of its kind on The Vegas Strip.
Costumes and Props
The Hunger Games: The Exhibition highlights the iconic costumes, real props, and set recreations from the record-setting movie series. The exhibition includes multiple exclusively-designed experiences. There are hands-on interactive experiences that invite visitors to engage with behind-the-scenes content and explore the technology that brought the books by Suzanne Collins to life.
The Hunger Games: The Exhibition will showcase nearly 30 original costumes worn by the cast. The Costume Gallery will include the most memorable pieces from The Hunger Games films. Some of the costumes include the Girl on Fire dress, the Mockingjay gown, Katniss’ Mockingjay armor, and pin. Peacekeeper armor and rebellion tactical gear and Katniss’ bow and arrows.
There will also be a retail shop, Capitol Couture, that will offer exclusive clothing and collectible items that celebrate the films.
