July 4th fireworks in Las Vegas have become an annual tradition. However, since Las Vegas is an unconventional city it’s not quite as simple as looking up at the sky when the sun goes down on the 4th of July.
Las Vegas is a bit of a different city. That’s part of the appeal. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Nobody tells Las Vegas when to party! July 4th fireworks in Las Vegas will take place on at least three nights from July 1 through July 4th.
The Las Vegas fireworks schedule is a little different from recent years. Fewer casinos on the Vegas Strip will have a fireworks show. If you wanted to see fireworks in downtown Las Vegas, you had to watch the video screen on the Fremont Street Experience canopy. This year there will be a live fireworks show above a casino. Here are three, actually four, locations you can watch July 4th fireworks in Las Vegas.
July 1 Fireworks at the Plaza
Beginning at 7 pm, the casino will celebrate the one-year anniversary of the rooftop pool deck with a special “Plaza Pool Nights Fourth of July” party. There will be live entertainment, drink specials, and a barbecue buffet. The festivities will culminate with a 4-minute fireworks show that can best be seen from the pool deck. Entry to the pool is free but there is a charge for drinks and buffet.
July 2 Fireworks at Caesars Palace
July 4th fireworks on the Vegas Strip will be a little different than previous years. This year fireworks will only take place in the center of the action at Caesars Palace. The 13-minute fireworks show should be easily visible from anywhere outside in the area near Caesars Palace.
There are plenty of great viewing locations for this show including some upper level patios of restaurants (Chayo, Yard House, Margaritaville) at The Linq. The High Roller offers great viewing if you time it properly. Many people will simply line the Vegas Strip to watch the fireworks. Just make sure you’re outside of the casino and look up when the fireworks go off at 9 pm.
July 4 Fireworks at Red Rock Casino and Green Valley Ranch
Station Casinos will have two fireworks shows to celebrate July 4th in Las Vegas. Red Rock Casino and Green Valley Ranch will both feature a long fireworks show to the west and east of the Vegas Strip, respectively. Judging by the spotify playlist of music from the show on the Station Casinos blog the show will last approximately 20 minutes.
Both July 4th fireworks shows are free to watch. A limited number of visitors can RSVP for private viewing experience at Red Rock Casino here and Green Valley Ranch here.
