Sometimes it takes a long time to create a tradition. Well, it only took a few years for the Cosmopolitan to create a holiday tradition in Las Vegas. On Wednesday, Nov. 20, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will welcome the return of The Ice Rink for the upcoming holiday season.
The casino resort will once again transform the Boulevard Pool into a winter wonderland overlooking the Las Vegas Strip. Not only is ice skating outside in Las Vegas unique but the experience at the Cosmopolitan is different than other outdoor ice rinks in Las Vegas.
The rooftop ice-skating takes place on a rink above the Vegas Strip with more than 4,200 square feet of real ice. If you’re not a skater but want to enjoy the wintery atmosphere they also offer roasting s’mores by the fire, snow showers, classic holiday movie showings, adult renditions of seasonal culinary classics, and wonderful adult beverages perfect for the season.
All this is a great excuse to hang out at the Cosmopolitan and enjoy that sweet view of the Vegas Strip.
This year they will offer an adult twist on traditional seasonal favorites such as the Egg Noggy Nog, Campfire Delight, Rebel without a Claus, Scrooged, White Elephant Game, and The Griswold.
Menu selections include classics reminiscent of winter childhood favorites. The dining options include grilled cheese and tomato soup, turkey potpie, fully loaded potato skins, chicken nachos, sliders, crispy chicken tenders, warm pretzel rolls, and more. Desserts include cooking s’mores, cinnamon churros, and a pumpkin pie liege waffle.
The Ice Rink will be open Nov. 20 through Jan. 5. All-day skating access is $25. Monday through Thursday, all day skating access for Nevada residents, hotel guests and the military is $15. Skate aid seals and reindeers are also available for $10 an hour.
The Ice Rink welcomes guests ages two and up. Waivers must be signed for all skaters. Minors must have a liability waiver signed by a parent or guardian and be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21. Visit cosmopolitanlasvegas.com for more information.
