The Cromwell is one of the best casinos for gamblers on the Vegas Strip. They recently reminded me that they’re also a great place for day drinkers visiting Las Vegas. On May 9, they tweeted about a price drop for their drink specials.
Between 9 am and 8 pm guest can enjoy $2 beers and $2 vodka drinks at the Interlude bar in the center of the casino. The drinks used to cost $3, so this is a whopping 33% discount. Afternoon visitors can enjoy free music from 4 pm to 8 pm every Wednesday.

A New Look At The Cromwell
In 2017, Caesars Entertainment gave The Cromwell a facelift. Cheap drinks and entertainment became as much of a priority as Drai’s Beach Club and Nightclub on the roof of the casino.
The casino improved its technology for guests, added a new grab n go restaurant, and improved their gaming to be more customer friendly. In addition to a new sportsbook, The Cromwell now has the great gambling rules for a good variety of games.
Gambling at The Cromwell
In 2017, Caesars Entertainment decided to make The Cromwell a destination for visitors looking for a fair gamble. They improved the rules and odds for some blackjack, roulette, and video poker games. The Cromwell also has the best craps odds in Las Vegas.
Player friendly rules don’t guarantee a win. In fact, over time the casino will always win because they have the mathematical advantage. By lowering the house edge on these games they are, in theory, giving gamblers a better chance to play longer.
The longer a person can play some casino games, the better the chances that they hit a hot streak and have a chance to walk away as a winner. Again, there’s no guarantee but extending play usually leads to more drinking and a more fun environment. It can also lead to more winning sessions.
Let’s take a look at the gambling rules and limits at The Cromwell:
The majority of blackjack games at The Cromwell now pay 3:2 when a player is dealt a natural blackjack. They offer both shoe and double-deck pitch games. While these games offer improved odds at $15 or $25 per hand, there are still blackjack games that only pay 6:5 for blackjack. Make sure you look at the rules before sitting down.
The Cromwell is the only casino in Las Vegas that offers 100x odds. For comparison, most casinos on the Vegas Strip only offer 3x-4x-5x odds. While 100x odds on a $10 bet might be a bit pricey for some gamblers, you can play odds anywhere from 1x to 100x. The maximum odds reduce the house edge for the casino to 0.021%. That’s the best odds you’ll find in the entire casino.
This might be the most drastic odds advantage for gamblers on the Vegas Strip. While casinos continue to add a third zero slot on the roulette wheel, The Cromwell actually reduced the number to show only a single zero. This is the way roulette used to be played. Single zero roulette only has a house edge of 2.70%.
For comparison, double zero roulette has a house edge of 5.26% and triple zero has a whopping 7.69% house edge. Roulette players should certainly look for this game at The Cromwell with fair limits and a lower house edge.
There is a single bank of eight multi-game video poker machines near the south entrance of The Cromwell. This bank of machines offers multiple video poker games with less than a 1% house edge. The catch here is that you earn fewer Caesars Rewards points than other video poker games in the casino.
Pro Tip: Sit at the machine on the left that faces the out of the casino for quick drink service.
