We haven’t seen a lot of new attractions at Excalibur lately. I think it’s good time to highlight the new “Ultimate 4-D Experience” that just opened at the casino. SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment is the special effects brains behind this new theater. They’re one of the biggest companies that specialize in building cinematic attractions like 4-D Theaters. The Ultimate 4-D Experience features a dynamic theme park quality queue experience complete with cinematic lighting and music to build excitement for each film.
The Ultimate 4-D Experience opened with three fan-favorite film shows, created in partnership with Warner Bros. The initial lineup includes San Andreas 4-D Experience, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island – The 4-D Experience and The LEGO Movie 4-D Experience. The latter is a custom-made animated film that takes place in the world of The LEGO Movie. Movie titles are subject to change so expect to see a new lineup in the future.
The 72-seat Ultimate 4-D Experience theater showcases a mix of popular, high-action movies from the world’s top studios while appealing to all ages. Each blockbuster 4-D Experience is approximately 15 minutes in length. The experience shows the films in 3-D high definition projection. The immersive nature of the attraction heightens senses by incorporating the latest technologies such as in-theater and in-seat effects to create the optimum cinematic experience putting guests right in the middle of the action.
“At Excalibur, we strive to keep our amenities fresh and fun for our guests,” said Sheri Cherubino, CFO of Excalibur Hotel & Casino. “We are excited to expand our Fun Dungeon experience to include the Ultimate 4-D Experience®. It’s a great fit and will appeal to both families and adults.”
The Ultimate 4-D Experience is in the Excalibur Fun Dungeon and will be open daily from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Shows will run every twenty minutes, with each experience playing once an hour. Guests can see one show for $9.99, two shows for $12.99 or three shows for $14.99. Tickets are already available at the Excalibur Box Office and at the theater.
As you’d expect for an attraction at Excalibur this is a family-friendly experience that will feature exclusive, blockbuster content that fully immerses and entertains guests.
