CEO and developer Derek Stevens recently announced that his newest Downtown Las Vegas property, Circa Resort & Casino, will open on October 28, 2020. Well, most of the new property will open in October. The initial opening in October will include the first five floors of amenities and state-of-the-art parking hub – Garage Mahal.
The hotel is on track to open by December 28, 2020. When Circa opens it will be the only 21+ casino in Las Vegas. No guests under 21 will be allowed to enjoy the first casino built from the ground up in downtown Las Vegas since in 40 years.
Stevens also owns The D Las Vegas and Golden Gate casinos. The move to open in phases fits with how Las Vegas casinos have been reopening this year.
“Sometimes life throws you curveballs, and 2020 has been an unpredictable year for the entire world,” said Stevens. “However, thanks to the creativity and ingenuity from our partners at McCarthy Building Companies Inc. and Tré Builders, we can move forward on this accelerated path and have an opening unlike Las Vegas has experienced. We are excited to see what the future holds and to give visitors and locals something to celebrate.”
