It’s not every day that casinos in Las Vegas change hands. MGM Resorts International recently announced two deals. On the same day in October, MGM Resorts announced the sale of Bellagio and Circus Circus. One of the casinos will see a new operator while the other remains part of the MGM Resorts family.
Bellagio was sold to Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust. They will lease Bellagio to MGM Resorts to operate. The casino will remain part of the MGM Resorts’ M Life Rewards loyalty club. Nothing will be different the next time you visit Bellagio. Somewhat related, Caesars made a similar real estate transaction for Rio in September.
Circus Circus, on the other hand, was sold to a completely different company. Phil Ruffin purchased the casino and neighboring Festival Grounds land for $825 million. Ruffin owns Treasure Island and presumably will merge loyalty clubs with Circus Players Club.
M Life Rewards will continue to operate as usual. Bellagio will remain one of its premier Las Vegas properties. Even though Circus Circus was owned by MGM Resorts, the casino was never part of the loyalty program.

M Life Rewards is one of the largest casino loyalty programs in the US. Members of M Life Rewards receive benefits for almost every dollar spent at 17 properties in Las Vegas and across the US. Remember, MGM Resorts operates four separate hotels in its Las Vegas casinos.
M Life Rewards Las Vegas hotels and casinos include:

  • Aria (and Vdara)
  • Bellagio
  • Excalibur
  • Luxor
  • Mandalay Bay (and Delano)
  • MGM Grand (and The Signature)
  • The Mirage
  • New York-New York
  • Park MGM (and NoMad)

M Life Rewards Tier Credits & Express Comps

Sure, M Life Rewards is one of the most popular casino loyalty programs because of its properties. Spending money at MGM Resorts properties brings different rewards.
Tier credits and express comps are earned by spending money at the different MGM Resorts properties in the US.
Guests earn tier credits from spending in the casino on slot machines, video poker, and table games. Tier credits are also earned when spending money on everything from hotel rooms to meals and shopping.
The tier credits are accumulated and give members certain benefits depending on how much they spend. The more you spend, the higher the tier, the more benefits offered. You can see the differences in M Life Rewards tiers here.
Express Comps are earned playing slot machines and video poker in Las Vegas. MGM Resorts properties outside of Las Vegas might reward table game players too. Express Comps can be redeemed for hotel rooms, dining, entertainment, and more.

M Life Rewards Partners

One of the biggest perks of M Life Rewards is its partners. Benefits from the loyalty club extend beyond the casinos. M Life Rewards partners include:

  • Hyatt
  • Southwest Airlines
  • Royal Caribbean
  • Celebrity Cruises
  • Cirque du Soliel
  • Avis
  • Pinnacle Entertainment
  • Thunder Valley

Visit M Life Rewards Partners page for more information on the benefits for each company.
