It’s been a few years since we looked at the different casino loyalty clubs on the Vegas Strip. In 2015 these clubs were known as “players clubs” because they mostly awarded gamblers for their money spent in casinos. That’s not the case at most casinos today.
That time frame was the beginning of casino operators beginning to rewards all customers for money spent throughout the casino and resort. Most players clubs on the Vegas Strip now reward loyalty club customers with points for money spent on dining, drinking, hotel rooms, spa treatments, shopping, show tickets, as well as gambling.
Some casino operators even offer reward points for purchases made with partners and their online casinos. Looking back, it’s quite amazing how far the casino players clubs have come in the past four or five years.
Then again, the casino guests in Las Vegas have changed a lot over the years. The larger casino corporations like MGM Resorts only see about 30% of their revenue from gambling. The rest of the money spent by guests is on everything else visitors in Las Vegas might enjoy.
Casino Loyalty Clubs Mean Discounts, Freebies, And More
Casino loyalty clubs are now similar to loyalty clubs for any business. However, these clubs offer more than just discounts or coupons. Most casino loyalty clubs offer different tiers of benefits depending on how much you spend.
The main benefit of an entry-level member might simply receive discounts on hotel rooms or early access to purchase tickets for shows and events. The next tier might offer larger discounts or complimentary hotel rooms in addition to line skips, free parking, and discounts on purchases made at stores that the casino operator owns.
The higher tiers might offer complimentary and room upgrades, complimentary access to VIP lounges and events and larger discounts. The highest tiers of a loyalty club might offer complimentary rooms, food, drinks, transportation, golf outings and more.
While some of these benefits might be written in stone, other rewards might be based on how much you spend on each visit. Check the rules of each of your loyalty clubs for exact information.
