Las Vegas has a lot of everything for anyone visiting. Well, almost everything. The standup comedy scene is a little light for serious fans of comedy. The Mirage is the one casino in Las Vegas that regularly caters to an audience who enjoys comedians. Their Aces of Comedy series brings some of the most popular comedians to Las Vegas for at least a weekend of shows. Some of the comedians return every few weeks or months and throughout the year.
The Aces of Comedy series is known for packed houses and hysterical nights of comedy performed by some of the biggest names in the industry to audiences from all over the world. MGM Resorts International recently announced the first batch of comedians for Aces of Comedy at The Mirage in 2018. Gabriel Iglesias, Daniel Tosh, Tim Allen, Ray Romano & David Spade (together) are all returning for another year of laughs. Here’s a look at each comedian and when you can see them in 2018.
Gabriel Iglesias (AKA Fluffy)
For years Gabriel Iglesias has been known as the “fluffy” comic in a Hawaiian shirt. Iglesias has been described as unbelievably funny and electrifying. He returns to The Mirage in 2018 with a mixture of storytelling, parodies, characters and sound effects that bring his personal experiences to life. You can see Fluffy on the following dates in 2018:
• January 12 – 13 at 10 p.m.
• January 14 at 8 p.m.
Daniel Tosh will perform and host an evening of standup comedy featuring writers and comedians from his Comedy Central show “Tosh.0.” You may know him from his casual style and sharp material which have garnered fans both young and old. You can see Tosh on the following dates in 2018:
• Friday, Feb. 2 at 10 p.m.
• Saturday, Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
• Friday, March 16 at 10 p.m.
• Saturday, March 17 at 7:30 p.m.
• Friday, April 13 at 10 p.m.
• Saturday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m.
• Friday, May 11 at 10 p.m.
• Saturday, May 12 at 7:30 p.m.
Renowned comedian Tim Allen will return to The Mirage January 27, March 2 – 3, May 5, July 28 and August 24 once again for the Aces of Comedy series. The award-winning actor recently starred on the ABC hit sitcom “Last Man Standing” and on the long-running ABC television series “Home Improvement.” His film credits include leading roles in “The Santa Claus,” “Toy Story,” “Galaxy Quest” and “Wild Hogs,” among others.
Ray Romano & David Spade
Comedy legends Ray Romano and David Spade will return to The Mirage for a series of shows throughout the year. You can catch the guys on February 23 – 24, April 6 – 7, June 15 – 16, Oct. 5 – 6 and Nov. 16 – 17. Romano, best known for his Emmy award-winning series “Everybody Loves Raymond” and NBC’s “Parenthood,” was most recently seen on HBO’s series “Vinyl.” Spade, known as Dennis Finch, the wise-cracking, power-hungry assistant on “Just Shoot Me,” became a household favorite during his five-year stint as a cast member of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”
