We went to the North Rim, and I highly recommend it. It was so beautiful. You definitely have to see the Grand Canyon once in your life.
We took at tour bus to the west rim. Lots of options on which spots to check out. Any way you go its Beautiful.
We rented a car and went to the South Rim. The drive was 4 1/2 hours one way and totally worth it! We had a great time driving a getting stop where we want. For the rental and gas, it cost about the same as a bus trip (unless you talk friend into going and splitting the cost of renting) but it depends how you like to travel. But the canyon was so much more than I expected and down right spectacular.
Not a bad drive from Vegas. I recommend the North Rim which is less visited. I definitely think everyone needs to see this once in their lifetime.
