In Las Vegas, there is definitely no shortage of things to do. However, some are better than others and that’s where we come in. Between free attractions, wild rides, and the best shows, here are what we consider the must see attractions in Las Vegas. The list is long, but compared to the hundreds of options, this should help you come up with an attraction game plan! Keep in mind, it’s impossible to see EVERYTHING in Vegas in one trip, trust us! Be sure to pick and choose the ones that sound best, and enjoy!
ON STRIP ATTRACTIONS:
Siegfried and Roys Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at Mirage
Let loose in the “wild” at Sigfried and Roys Secret Garden in the Mirage Hotel-Casino. Also at the Mirage is the Dolphin Habitat which is a 2.5 million gallon tank home to some amazing mammals. Once you’re done viewing the dolphins in their natural habitat, head over to the Secret Garden and see the kings of the jungle in their lush garden habitat. Lions and tigers will steal the show, and if you time it right, you can even watch them feed!
Watch the Bellagio fountains dance to the sounds of show tunes, Broadway music, and classical music. The Fountains at the Bellagio are completely free and a spectacle for all to enjoy. Shows are every half hour so there is sure to be a time to fit even the busiest of schedules.

Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay
With over 1.3 million gallons of water, the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay will wow even the most seasoned beachgoer. This huge aquarium is home to colorful fish, giant turtles, and sharks. This self-guided audio tour will teach you facts you didn’t learn in school. If you’re craving more facts, then there is an option for the behind the scenes tour to see even more exotic creatures.
Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
Free to the public, the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens will amaze you every time you visit. It is a real treat to see such gorgeous plant sculptures, serene waterfalls, and stunning gazebos right in the desert. Make sure to snap some pictures so everyone will believe you were in a garden oasis right on the Las Vegas strip.
Paris Eiffel Tower
Get your chance to visit Paris right in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. At Paris Hotel-Casino, you can see an exact, half-size replica of the Eiffel Tower. An elevator will take you to new heights, 460 feet to be exact. After you have seen the beautiful view from the top, come back down for a bite to eat on the 11th floor. Plan a romantic evening for you and your significant other or bring your children to experience delicious cuisine at its’ finest.
Fiori Di Como
Walk into the lobby of the Bellagio and you will be stunned by the gorgeous Dave Chihuly sculpture, Fiori Di Como. This stunning masterpiece will make your entrance and experience at the Bellagio one to remember. You’ll want to get a closer look because Fiori Di Como is compromised of over 2,000 glass flowers.
CBS Television City
At the MGM Grand Hotel-Casino, experience having your opinion heard (and for free!). At CBS Television City, you’ll get to see what life would be like if you were a network executive. Get a chance to watch pilots for new shows and then give you feedback. This research will help actual network executives to decide whether they want to air the show. Each session is around an hour long and suitable for all ages.
CSI the Experience
Located in the MGM Grand Hotel-Casino, CSI the Experience will give you a chance to solve a crime mystery. You will learn fun facts that real forensic scientists use every day and if you use those facts to solve the mystery, you will graduate and get a diploma! Some images and scenarios can be a bit graphic so it is recommended that children are 12 years and older.
Fall of Atlantis Fountain Show & Aquarium
Check out the Forum Shops at Casears Palace Hotel-Casino and you might catch a glimpse of the amazing Fall of Atlantis Fountain Show. Every hour on the hour, the seemingly calm fountain comes to life with lights, music, and animatronic figures that tell the story of the legendary lost city, Atlantis. While you wait for the show to start, be sure to check out the 50,000 gallon tank that is home to gorgeous sea creatures and haunting sharks. The show and aquarium are both free so make sure not to miss out. Get there a bit early to ensure a good viewing of the seven minute show.
Italy comes alive while cruising down the canal in an authentic gondola. Right inside the Venetian Hotel-Casino, you will hear Italian music and see a calming canal that is host to romantic and fun gondola rides. Reservations can be made or just show up for a first-come-first serve basis.
Las Vegas Mob Experience
The Las Vegas Mob Experience at Tropicana offers 12,000 square feet of infamous mobsters. You can get into their personal lives by reading history, watching home movies, and even see artifacts from each of their lives.
All the chocolate in the world could not compare to M&M’s world. That’s because M&M’s world, next door to the MGM Grand Hotel-Casino offers chocolate, vibrant colors, and fun souvenirs. Sirens of Treasure Island
Sirens of Treasure Island is a free, pirate-themed street performance at the Treasure Island Hotel-Casino. Watch high divers fly from the sky and sword fighters attack their opponent. This 18 minute show is located outdoors so you will want to arrive a few minutes before the show to ensure a good spot to watch.
You thought you saw it all, but if you haven’t seen the Mirage Volcano at the Mirage Hotel-Casino, then add it to your itinerary ASAP! This fiery volcano is part water show, light show, and fun music. Let the show take you away to an island oasis and this time, there is no danger when it erupts!
Madame Tussauds Wax Museum
Madame Tussadus, at the Venetian Hotel-Casino is a world renowned wax museum. Cozy up next to Brad Pitt or snap a picture with the king himself, Elvis. Not only will you feel like you just had a night with the stars but you will get the chance to learn all about how the wax figures are created.
Roller Coaster at NYNY
This is no ride for the slow at heart. This 67-mile-per-hour ride will have you screaming for more. If you’re brave enough to keep your eyes open, this high flying ride will offer stunning views of the Las Vegas strip. You must be at least 54 inches to ride.
Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition
Titanic the Artifact Exhibition calls home at the Luxor Hotel-Casino. This exhibition will take you back over a century and have you revisit the Titanic’s icy journey. The neatest part of the arctic journey is that there is a giant piece of the actual Titanic and also a replica of the famous stairs where you can get your picture taken.
Bodies: The Exhibition
This world famous exhibition, like the Titanic exhibition, is located in the Luxor Hotel-Casino. Bodies is a unique exhibit featuring bodies that have been preserved through a special process. A learning experience and a fun exhibit, Bodies will teach you how things like the nervous system and the digestive system work.
Adventuredome Theme Park
Las Vegas is known for having anything and everything under the sun; well of course, it has to have a theme park! The Adventuredome Theme Park located at Circus Circus brings no shortage of fun to your vacation. The Adventuredome is home to over 25 fun and thrilling rides. If you want more than rides, check out the 4-D Spongebob show, play games at the arcade, or test your skills at the climbing wall.

Fremont Street Experience
Between the spectacular, free Viva Vision show(laser show), and the zip lining, Fremont Street Experience, located in downtown Las Vegas across from the Plaza Hotel-Casino, will have anyone smiling.
Just 35 miles south of Las Vegas is a stunning, 80 year old dam, named after President Herbert Hoover. Multiple tours are available throughout the day. Choose from a tour of the power plant or a tour of the dam. You can even walk across the bridge where you can see both Nevada and Arizona. History and fun all in one is just what the Hoover Dam has to offer.
An American icon, the Grand Canyon, is just 278 miles southeast of Las Vegas in Arizona. Open all year ’round, this is something you will want to add to your itinerary. The stunning layers of rock and natural wildlife will have you in awe at one of nature’s incredible national parks.
Vegas indoor skydiving
Your most wild adventure may not start at a night club. That’s because indoor skydiving, located right across from the Riviera Hotel-Casino, will give you thrills like you’ve never experienced before. Indoor skydiving is a much safer version of skydiving and you still get the same feeling of jumping out of a plane. Reservations can be made prior or you can show up to see if they have a time for you. Children ages 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult. If you are an adrenaline junkie, packages and deals are available.
The Big Shot, X-Scream, and the Insanity are accurately named thrill rides atop the Stratosphere Hotel-Casino. Ride up to the top of the Stratosphere and you will get a gorgeous view of the city. If you chose, ride one of the four wild rides and get an experience of your lifetime. If you end up screaming for more, ride packages are available. Each ride has a height restriction of at least 42 inches, some range to 48 inches.
You can’t leave Las Vegas without going to the Mob Museum. See the history behind some of the most infamous mobsters in the entire world. If you’d like, you can teach yourself how to load a gun, or instead, go a different route and learn to kill with more unusual tools with tricks right from the mobsters. Learn a little history about mobsters and events in history such as the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre.
You will never believe that just 30 miles south of Sin City is one of the large man-made lakes in the country. Lake Mead offers over 1.5 million acres of fun. From boating to water sports, there is something for everyone. If you decide you are enjoying your day trip so much, there are plenty of great accommodations to choose from. Lake Mead also offers a large RV park for all of your camping needs.
