So here, we offer up our expertise to what we think are the top free attractions in Vegas.
Bellagio Fountains
The Bellagio Fountains, right in front of the Bellagio Hotel and Casino, are music to your ear…literally. Ordinary water transforms into a major production when the music begins to play. See the water perform elegant leaps, sparkle in the night lights or the afternoon sun, and dance across “stage”. Gorgeous lighting and music add romance to the performance, while the little ones will be so engaged that they will want to come back for another showing. Each show is every half hour on weekdays and every fifteen minutes on weekends.
Mirage Volcano
Since 1989, Las Vegas has been home to an erupting volcano. However, this volcano won’t be cause for any casualties. Instead, you will be delighted with the amazing display of lights and crazy water action. This show is almost hard to miss out on, because this volcano is about as active as they come. Erupting every single night, every hour on the hour, this is not something you will want to miss.
Sirens of Treasure Island
Sirens is appropriately located at Treasure Island Hotel and Casino because it really is one of Vegas’ hidden treasures. Part street theater, part Vegas masterpiece, Sirens will have you in awe. Picture acrobatic high divers and daring sword fights in this pirate themed show. Only 18-minutes, but each minute is packed with action and stunts that you can’t find anywhere else. Open to all, these shows are very popular. Arrive early to one of the four daily showings so you can get a spot with the best view.
Fremont Street Experience
It’s no coincidence that Viva in translation means “live”. At the Fremont Street Experience, you will be a spectator to the Viva Vision show. The show will please your every sense. From gorgeous choreography, to a fantastic light show, the Viva Vision show rivals some of Vegas’ most popular shows. Right across from the Plaza Hotel-Casino, each show happens from 8:30pm-12:00am, every hour, on the hour, so be sure to get there a few minutes early to ensure a great spot! Not to mention, the Fremont Street Experience also offers zip lining for a small fee. Go zip lining while Viva Vision is going on and you’ll get an unrivaled view!
Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
The Bellagio by itself is a stunning and iconic hotel, however, add the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens to the list of offerings, and it can’t be beat. Over 140 people are on staff to keep the gardens beautiful and pristine. Not only are the gardens stunning, but they change four times a year, so you won’t get the same “show” twice. Who would have thought that you could find nature in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip? Gorgeous gazebos, floral statues, and flowing fountains, the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is well worth your time. An even bigger bonus, is that the gardens are open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week so you never have to make a reservation or wait in a long line. After you are done visiting the gardens, be sure to check out the amazing Fiori Di Como right outside of the Gardens— You can’t miss it!
Circus Acts
Circus Acts will make you feel like you are at a real circus. So grab some peanuts and popcorn and enjoy the amazing acrobats performing death defying pyramids. Performed every half hour during the weekdays will give you many chances to see this show and the amazing acrobatic tricks. A fun show for the whole family; so grab the kids and head to Circus Acts at Circus Circus.
Las Vegas Sign
The most famous Las Vegas icon definitely has to be the Las Vegas Sign. Welcoming visitors to Las Vegas 365 days a year is a big job, and somebody, or rather, something has got to do it. Stop by the Las Vegas sign and snap some pictures. Go once during the day and then once during the night when the sign is lit up. Just south of Mandalay Bay, there is a large parking lot to make your visit with the sign quick and easy and fun for the entire family!
Fall of Atlantis
Located at the Forum Shops inside Caesar’s Palace, the Fall of Atlantis show is not one you are going to want to miss out on. A twist on a historical legend, the show depicts the ancient story of Atlantis through amazing lights, music and fun animatronic figures. The show is 7 minutes long and performs every hour on the hour. Be sure to arrive a few minutes early to get a great spot to view the show and to check out the awesome aquarium that holds over 50,000 gallons of salt water. See gorgeous, colorful fish swim while you wait for the show to start.
So whether it is an amazing Las Vegas style show you’re looking for, a calm walk through a beautiful garden, or a romantic light and water show, Las Vegas offers many free attractions that are definitely worth experiencing!
